Aunt Shelly!

My little sister Lishelle came to visit last week. She is heading out to DC to do an internship and was able to squeeze us into her busy schedule before she left. There is not a lot to do here in the vista, but we enjoyed hanging out and relaxing. Landon and Leah loved their aunt Shelly and I loved having somebody to run errands with. I'm not sure why I took her back to the airport. Good luck in DC Shelly, we love you and can't wait to see you again.

As you can tell from the pictures the bug loved having someone and her beckon call. The lilo man doesn't play favorites:)

We're HUGE!

The lilos are getting bigger and bigger everyday. Landon started crawling and is all over the place. We finally got them some high-chairs, they are sitting forward in the car, and we are on solid foods(no more Gerber foods).

We had visitors-YEA!!! Our cousin Scott graduated from PA school in Mesa. While Smiley, Craig, Grandma, and Grandpa were in town they all made the trip down to the Vista. Also, Grandpa Nielsen came down to visit the Lilos. We spent a lot of the time relaxing and playing with Grandpa. We loved having him here and hated to see him go.

9 Months already.....

I can't believe my babies are 9 months already. They are getting to be so much fun. Leah is crawling all over the place while Landon just swivels on his butt in a circle. They entertain each other all the time now. I don't know how many times I hear them in their cribs or out in the living room laughing at each other. We just had their check-up and they are growing little weeds. Landon was 19 1/2 lbs and Leah was just over 18. They were both 29 1/4 inches tall and have the same head size although Landon's looks like it's twice as big. Time goes fast. I can see why people have more now:)

These are some pictures from the 4th. We enjoyed spending the day at some friends house grilling and playing in the pool. We ended up putting the kids to bed and watched the fireworks from our backyard. Maybe next year we will venture over to the park.

Happy Father's Day!

I think it took us so long to have kids because Jer was not head-over-hills about the idea. Kids scared him and he liked the fact that they went back to their house at the end of the day. I don't think he realized what an incredible Dad he would be. I am so grateful for the love the he has for our little ones. He is an awesome dad just like I knew he would be. I love that Miss Leah is a daddy's girl, she has got her Dad wrapped around her little finger and Landon is easily amused by his dad tricks. We have come a long way since that hospital room. Happy Father's Day Jer. We love you!

Rub-a-dub-dub, two lilos in the Tub!

Up until last week our nightly clean-up routine included a quick shower to wash away the puke and mess from the day's events. When it was finally bedtime we would shower with Landon and Leah one at a time; working together to keep the kids safe and happy. When Jer could not be home in time for the nightly routine, I would put them in the bath tub in their bumbos like so:








Since Jer hurt his back, we have eliminated the shower and stuck with the tub. They were so busy in their bumbo chairs that I decided to take a chance and let them have free reign in the tub. I wish that I would have done this when they first started sitting up. Leah sits and sings as loud as she can and splashes around hitting the water. When you take away her cup, she lets you know she wants it back! Landon keeps busy trying to figure out the faucet and is fully entertained by Leah's antics. His legs never stop kicking back and forth. He creates waves with his legs and then smacks them with his hands. They definitely prefer the tub over the shower. Tub time is now one of the highlights of the day. I guess that you learn as you go....and we're definitely going!
