HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!

We had a great Valentines at our house. We started last week by making Valentines cards to send to family. My hubby surprised me by waking up early and cleaning the house, the best gift ever! Usually on Mondays I neglect my kids for a couple of hours while I get the house clean. I thought that I would be making breakfast for everyone but my wonderful husband took care of that too. The kids got a little Valentine from Mom and Dad that had some chocolates inside. We had heart shape PB and J's for lunch and after nap we made some valentine cupcakes. Landon and Leah have turned into really good helpers in the kitchen, they also like any excuse to sit on the counter. I was inspired by my friend to do a candle light dinner, well there was candles on the table. The Lilos would not leave them alone, so to be safe we lit them for a few seconds and then let the monkeys blow them out. Its the idea that counts..right. I cooked enchiladas, which is one of my husbands favorites and we had a yummy parfait for dessert. Fun, fun, fun! Can't wait till next year.

Making Valentines.

Breakfast burritos. The Burrito is the "I" the oranges are "love" and the strawberries the "U".

Chasing the kids with the vacuum.

THe kids and their Valentines.

Making some cupcakes.

I'm not an expert at photographing food.

THe picture does not do it justice. They were yummy!

Unable to Deliver.....What!

Jer and I bought our first road bikes 4 months after we were married. That was almost 7 years ago. Needless to say my husband has been in the market for a new bike for probably the last year. He is always on KSL looking for a good deal and is very patient when it comes to finding one. Jer found an upgrade for me over the summer, a bike that would have been his if it was big enough:) Anyway, Jer sold his bike and found a bike in Utah for a steal of a deal. He had his Dad pick it up and had the local bike shop there ship it. We had a tacking number so we knew the day it was supposed to arrive. Well, when it didn't arrive on the scheduled day Jer looked up the tracking number. It made its was to the FedEx here in the vista but was "unable to deliver due to damage return to sender"...not funny. The FedEx guy at Jers work told him if they didn't deliver it, it was pretty messed up. Jer called the bike shop that shipped it and they said they needed to check and see if they insured it for $700 or $1000 (I guess there was a debate and Jer told them to go with the $1000). Come to find out they only insured it for $50 bucks!!!! Yeah, that's a problem. They bike is not scheduled to be back at the bike shop until the 15th so we have to wait till them to get things straighten out. My poor hubby just wanted his pretty new bike:(

Brown Canyon

This Sunday we went up Brown Canyon to get out of the house and enjoy the beautiful weather! We hiked a little nature loop, played in the dirt, climbed on everything that we could, and just let the kids wonder. They loved being free to explore and touch anything and everything.

Checking out the pond.

Our hike. Landon always leads and Leah is her usual 20 steps behind. If you look up slow in the dictionary it would have a picture of my pretty princess next to it:)

Dad teaching the kids not to touch the Cactus (note: Landon is touching the cactus)

Leah collected some flowers.

My three favorite people!

I really have three kids:)

They loved this log.

I was suprised but he loved jumping off. He is all Boy!

We wouldn't be outside without sticks and dirt.

Potty training...

Yep, that's a new roll of double-ply toilet paper that Leah has tried to flush down the toilet. Needless to say I learned my lesson not to keep the toilet paper in reach:)

So DONE!!!

I feel like since the Lilos have turned 2 we have been sick every other week. Everything from strep, to the pukes, to the flu, and colds. Landon woke up sick on Friday with a fever and a cough, and Leah started getting it on Sunday. I feel like we have been in the house for the last week. So, Jeremy pulled out the tent to change things up. The kids loved it and it made it easier to be stuck in the house. I just hope that we can get over this and stay healthy!

The sick baby sister.

Chilling on the couch. Landon has a blue tongue from his "sucker binki" (ring pop)
