Happy Halloween 2013!

We love Halloween at the Nielsen home! The started with the kids being able to dress up for school. Leah was a cute devil and Landon a Ninja!

I would have dress-up this little goose, but as you can see we barely made it to the school on time- grumpy butt!

Sitting getting ready for the parade to start. The Kindergarteners are the only ones that walk in the parade. Not sure why, but they go to the older classes trick-or-treating.

Love this little ninja!

The TK class.

She loved every minute of going class to class.

"Mom, look how much candy I have!"

Doing crafts in the class room.

Making popcorn ball hands.

Goose got all sorts of goody's at school, his favorite was the cupcake that he's still wearing in this picture.

When the kids got home, Leah helped me make our special dinner.

This is going to be a new Halloween tradition at our house. I had so much fun making it, and the kids loved eating it.

After dinner we took to the streets trick-or-treating. Leah decided right before we left that she wanted to be a Zebra...girls!

Goose thought he was big, he didn't want to be held and there was no way he was going to give up his pumpkin!

THis house was pretty scary. Logan was literally shaking at we walked up the stairs. It made him a little cautious for the rest of the time. He even got about a foot from a gentleman wearing a mask giving out candy and turned and ran, it wasn't worth the candy!

Their bags were getting heavy.

We couldn't go fast enough.

Proof that I am part of the family.

Goose came home and sat down to inspect the goods. We had a hard time getting his bucket from him.

To get a picture Jer had to get down by him!

We spent the rest of the evening out on bed of dads truck handing out candy. Leah would hold out the bucket and say "take whatever you want."

Happy Halloween!

F.H.E. Pumpkin carving!

Pumpkin carving was a lot of fun this year. Usually it is Jer and I carving all the pumpkins, but we gave Landon and Leah some carving knives and let them do their own. I was surprised how well they did.

They both hated gutting the pumpkins!

Goose super intense of getting the lid off.

Focused.

The handsome pumpkin gutter!

Jer would start a cut for them.

And they would finish.
My kids all have super intense faces when focused on things.

The clan in action!

Goose got bored of the knife so we pulled out the markers to let him finish!

The final product.

Landon, Dad, Mom, Leah, and Goose (I promise it's there, just no light)

Yuma Family Pumpkin Patch.

We headed over to Yuma on Saturday to a pumpkin patch. It was a lot of fun and really nice to get out of the valley.

The petting Zoo.

Balloon ball races.

Leah's favorite, Face painting.

Mini Golf.

Landon's favorite, paintball target practice.

Tractor Hayride.

I think this was one of Logan's favorites, he loves tractors!

Dress-up theater.

It was worth the drive! Until next year!

Trunk-or-Treat 2013

The annual Trunk-or-Treat.

Goose was a pirate, Landon a Ninja, and Leah decided an hour before she wanted to be a Zebra. So, we had to make due with what we had.

The Ninja!

Creepy, right! He went from the guy off the movie Dodgeball.  He went around saying "if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball."

Logan had to inspect each piece of candy he got.

There was all sorts of fun games. We always have a good time.

The whole family!
