Fishing at Bountiful Pond!

Fun afternoon fishing at the Bountiful pond! Jer never brings his own pole because he spends most his time untangling lines and changing hooks for the four kids. This time was a little extreme and required him climbing into the tree to try and free the line. Leah ended up catching the only fish and it was huge! 19 inches and 2.75 lbs. We had fish for dinner.

Quarantine Week 2!

Trying not to go stir crazy as we enter week two. The kids have made the entire playroom huge fort and spent the night in it. It's freezing outside so recess is indoor with just dance, skee-ball and really anything other then electronics to burn some energy. Lacey and Logan are still loving science projects. Jer and I were sick of the playroom and decided to rearrange and dejunk it while we had extra time on our hands. It's also the end of term and the kids all got excellent grades so we sung by sing for a drink to celebrate being awesome! Leah is loving all the free time to bake. Lacey is loving having dinner set up all face with name tags and everything. One of the highlight of the week was visiting Grandpa Nielsen. We can't go inside because he is in the high risk group for getting Covid-19. We were able to visit through the screen, make him notes for his window and Landon was able to pass him the sacrament. This school distancing is hard. Church is now jus tat home, temples are closed and we found out that school will be out until May 2-heaven help me. There is a reason that my kids are not homeschooled. It's tough not be able to go anywhere and the kids fight more then they get along. I'm grateful that we are able to have this time together and not be torn in 8 different way with all the kids activities, but it is hard!

Utah Symphony 5th Grade field trip.

Attended the Symphony with Landon and Leah. Probably the last field trip I'll go on with them. Nighter of them cared to sit by me, they were more interested in sitting with their friends. It was crazy busy because all 5th grades in the district were there.

Jackson's Home.

After many miracles and a long trip Jackson returned home from the Philippines. Probably not the homecoming he was expecting. We weren't able to go to the airport so we lined his street to wave and  honk as he returned home. He has to be in quarantine for two weeks now that he has returned home from his mission.

Antelope Island.

Going a little stir crazy since we are in quarantine decided to take the kids out to Antelope Island. We had fun on a hike, exploring the ranch, and playing at the beach. Jer and I haven't been there since we were dating. Fun to take the kids for the first time!
