Oh, to be a kids again.

We were out hosing off the driveway and the kids started to play in the gutter. I had a hard time getting mad at them for getting all wet because they were having so much fun. I did finally make them take off their shoes and socks. Oh, to be a kid again and find joy in the simple things.

CLEAR!

Jer plays "Clear" with the kids and they think it's hilarious! That's where my husband uses his hands to simulate ER shock paddles and pretends to zap the kids in the chest to restart their hearts. First he rubs his hand together to get the electric charge.
Then he places his fists on their chest and they wait for him or one of the other kids to say "clear!" Once someone yells clear the shock could come bursting through dads paddle hands at any moment. It usually comes as a surprise as they wait laughing with anticipation for what's about to come.
Then, in a flash...ZAP!!
And down they go from the force of the paddle shock!

Safari Park.

Happy Thanksgiving. We spent ours at the Safari Park in San Diego. It was nice because there was hardly anyone there. Until we live around family again this might be our new holiday tradition. Logan is a huge fan of the zoo and loves to point and yell at the animals. He cries when we walk away especially when they are this close.
Jer brought the binoculars and the kids put them to full use.
We fed the ducks.
They would eat the pellets right out of the kids hands.
Logan just threw the pellets.
We all loved feeding the birds little cups of nectar.
Again, Logan would just yell and point at the birds.
We hung out with the bats.
Spun the world.
The petting zoo.
My two clowns.
Robert the Zebra sat and interacted with Landon and Leah. Leah even asked him to dance with her.
It's never a complete trip without the $8 slurpee.
The scenery was beautiful.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Since we celebrated Thanksgiving Early we decided for FHE on Monday to put up Christmas. Landon and Leah are all about Christmas this year. I love the way my house feels all decorated, the way the lights look, the smells, the music. Its a wonderful time of year for sure! The only problem is the Lilos ask every morning if its Christmas yet. Thank goodness for advent calendars. Landon helped dad put the star on the tree.
Logan was a champ at unplugging the tree.
The boys helped tangle the lights:)
Leah helping hand the ornaments, which will continue to be rearrange again and again.

Fall in Utah 2012

We spent the last three weeks in Utah. I feel like it was only two days it went by so fast. I tried to break up most of the pictures into individual posts, but here is the rest of the trip. We had so much fun being up there to spend time with Brecken, eating lots of yummy food, and to be with cousins! I can't wait to be back home! WARNING: PICTURE OVERLOAD!!!! Landon and Leah loved doing puzzles with Grandma
We helped Grandma get all the leaves out of her pool. Landon was a little OCD about getting every last leaf. This is him and Grandma getting them off the tree to prevent them from falling in when the wind blew.
Leah helping out.
Brecky and Lando.
More Crafts.
Who decided to give these two a sucker?
We got in the hot tub. The Terry boys would jump in the deep end so Landon had to try. He put his foot in and that was good enough for him.
Party in the Hot Tub!
Grandma put nails on the girls.
The weather was beautiful and the fall colors were gorgeous! Fall is one of my favorite seasons and I'm glad I got to experience it a little this year. THe lilos didn't mind it either.
Rellie was not so sure.
Missy was feeding Drew and Logan is always up for a snack.
My mom entertaining the kids with some new games.
The Lilos had a sleepover with cousins at Grandma's house. My mom got them matching PJ's.
