National Smithsonian Zoo and Gravely Park.

Alish and I took the kids to the National Smithsonian Zoo. I only lost Goose for a minute so all in all it was a good day spent with great friends!

We stopeed at Gravel park on the way home and watched planes take off from Reagan and played on the Potomac river.

Rappahannock River

We spent the day on the Rappahannock river. The kids love it and we have been trying to get back here before summer ended.

My handsome hubby!

Trying to catch fish.

She snorkeled the entire time!

Hunting for seashells.

The current kept this one entertained the entire time.

Wolf Award, dog sitting, and more pool time.

Landon earned his Wolf in Cub scouts.

We got to dog sit for our neighbors and the kids thought it was the best thing in the world.

The ice cream man is a big deal at the pool. The kids have started to raid their piggy banks so they can buy ice cream when he comes around.

They could have me take slow-mo videos of them all day long!

Solar Eclipse 2017!

Enjoyed viewing the solar eclipses with my kiddos. We made pinhole viewers and I was able to find 2 pairs of glasses the day of the eclipse. The kids thought it was cool fro about 10 minutes and then were bored. Jer was able to come home in the afternoon to view it with us. Pretty spectacular!!

Pentagon Memorial.

We made a stop at the 9-11 memorial at the Pentagon. Something that we have been meaning to see overtime we pass but today we made time on our way home from the Temple. They have a bench for each of the victims both on the plane and in the building.

Temple grounds service clean up.

They ask for volunteers to do service around the temple grounds in Washington D.C. They asked that the kids be 16+ we ask permission to bring our kids and said weed work and do what we could and if it got too much I would leave Jer there to help and take them. Luckily for us we were picking up sticks and spreading mulch out. I feel it super important to teach my kids how to work hard and to always be up for giving service. They had a pretty good time worked really hard(most of the time) and even got Razor rides and treats-instant blessing!

GAK!

Took these 4 to the store to get supplies to make our own GAK, that in itself is an adventure! These heads were hilarious! I wish they weren't 20 bucks a piece or I totally would have bought them!
The GAK or slime was success! All of them turned out to be a little different in texture but over all served it's purpose and supplied us with hours of entertainment!
