For the 4th of July we went up to Rick and Lori's cabin in Park City to ride horses and 4-wheelers, play our annual paint ball game, and be in good company. Leah loved riding the horses all by herself and Landon was trying to convince anyone and everyone to take him for a ride on the little 4-wheeler. It's always a good time up at the cabin, but my hubby was surely missed!
We spent the rest of the weekend up in Huntsville. The kids had a blast chasing the neighbors chickens, holding the kitten, and playing in the water. Monday the actual 4th we went to a carnival where the kids participated in mutten-busting, chicken chasing (Tate actually caught one), family tug-of-war, and a cake walk. We kept the kids up late the night before so most of them were pretty grumpy for the events. Overall it was a great weekend.
Chasing Chickens
Smoke bombs in the back yard. It took a while for the smoke to clear
Landon hated the popping of the fireworks

Landon roasting marshmallows with Grandma
The only game at the carnival that Leah participated in, the cake walk.
Cute Cole was nice enough to give up his cake because Landon would do the walk. Thanks Coly-pokes from saving me from some major melt down.
