Jamestown!

Jer had some random days off for Spring break. We took advantage and spent a couple of days in Williamsburg. Jamestown was our first stop. It's fun to go places that the kids have learned about in school.

Tons of turtles in the pond.

My little posers for the monument picture!

It was super windy but 75 degrees! The kids had a blast running the bank and throwing rock into the James river.

Some of the originally blueprints of the first settlement.

Entrance into the fort.

John Smith.

The one and only Pocahantas.

Stopped to watch some glass blowing. Pretty neat to see them make pieces right there in from of you.

Swimming was the only thing the kids really cared to do. We could have gone to the hotel and swam the whole time and they would have been happy as punch. So we spent the evening getting out swimming in. And it's probably the only thing the kids remember...and the dog we got to pet!
