Fredericksburg and Chatham house.

We decided to take a trip to downtown Fredericksburg over the weekend. We loved the feel of the old town and there was a lot to see and do, which we didn't get to most of it, but we will definatly be going back.

There was so much charm down all the streets. Jer and I loved it, the kids loved running up and down the alleys!

We headed across the Rappahannock  to the Chatham house. It was a house that was used for many things during the civil war. The grounds were huge and beautiful even in their bareness.

The kids like trying on the old hats and bonnets.

One day when Jer and I are rich will by ourselves a manor;)

The view was amazing and it was easy to see why the soldiers liked the location for war.

This tree was amazing! It's dead and there is a pretty intricate support system set up too keep it upright!
