Maymont Richmond VA!

Spent our Saturday at Maymont. It's a combination of a petting zoo, garden, and outdoor jungle gym. It was a fun and beautiful weekend! 

36 to me!

It was a great Birthday! I started the day off teaching HIGH at Ebenezer, went to lunch with Alish, did a little personal shopping with my Foofie and then went to dinner and got some Molten Lava cake with my little family. Jer and I planned a date night for Friday without kids! Happy 36 years young to me! 

Lacey starts Preschool!

Lacey told me when the kids were starting school that she was starting preschool. I didn't sign her up for anything because she has two more years before she starts school and she's my buddy! The peer mentor program at Park Ridge Elem. had openings for the three year old so I submitted and application and we started the selection process. As of last week she is officially in Preschool and loving it! I am slowing adapting to my free time...I'm sure it won't take long:) 

Logan turns 6!

WHAT?! Goose-a-rellie! Oh how we love this boy! He is super sweet and tender hearted, he loves school and making friends, he loves to read and is constantly reading anything and everything that he can, loves the flash and anything associated with him, like to show us magic tricks, he is an awesome big brother and sweet with other little kids, loves playing the Wii with Landon and is starting to give Landon a run for his money with his skills, loves to dribble the basketball, HATES potatoes and will throw up is I make him eat them, super easy going and can keep him self entertained with the simplest of toys, easy to please and make happy, is still a bit of a klutz but is getting better, is a scrounge and comes home with all sorts of treasures from our adventures, he even made $10 finding nails for 5 cents and piece when our roof was redone, loves to invent and create things, loves to draw and has a true talent for it, can't sit still for the life of him, favorite color is gold and black, favorite food is pizza, takes FOREVER to eat any other dinner, is an all around great kid and we are so happy to have him in our family! 

Logan's Lego Party!

Thanks to Channy and Grandpa and Nanda Cindy it looks a little like Christmas for his birthday. He woke up to decorations, presents, and donuts for breakfast. 

Jer was able to sneak away to eat Lunch with Logan at school. 

This boy was not about to let us go without a Party for his 6th birthday. He wanted a Lego theme. 

He wanted to wait for Jer to get home to open his presents from us. He is such and easy boy to please and we celebrated him all day long for sure!! Happy Birthday Goose-a-rellie! 

Tank farm.

Jer took the kids to the Tank Farm. They got to see several tank on display, as well as a flame thrower demonstration, spell their names in moral code, and got to go on a scavenger hunt with the veterans! 

Washington D.C. Ragnar!

I agreed to run the Washington DC Ragnar since I hadn't signed up for any races this year. It was fun and a great group of women, but I don't know that I will ever do another one. We were van 2 so we started at 1 in the afternoon and it was 91 degrees! It was hot! Our next leg started at midnight and went through the night. Our van didn't sleep at all and we had some of the longest less of the course. But overall it was super fun and I'm glad that I was able to do it and see some beautiful scenery along the way!

Westmorland and Shark Teeth!

We spent the afternoon hunting for Shark Teeth at Westmorland National park. We found 14 all together. Leah was super persistent and found the most. Landon was a little bit lazy until he actually found his drive. The next time we go we'll for sure bring swimsuits since they were all soaked by the end anyways!!
