White house, Lincoln, and Natural History Museum.

We made it up to DC on Saturday. Trying to make the most of Jer's time off and our time back East. A lot of the ground of the white house were closed off so we didn't really get to see much.

Snuck a picture of the Washington memorial while we were on our way to the Lincoln.

On our way to the Lincoln we explored the WWII sight and found Arizona. We had a potty run after and never found Utah, California, or Virginia...another day for sure!

Got to see the Lincoln the kids were disappointed they didn't get to climb up on him.

Probably the funniest part of the day, the stroller ride down Lincoln's steps.

It's been a beautiful fall. The wind made today extremely cold! The kids were troopers!

Natural History Museum!

Going back to our ancestry...

Logan.

Landon

Leah

Lacey.

We then met up at the Hymas house and let the kids play and caught up with good friends. It was just what we needed with this busy holiday weekend!

Stafford Civil War Park.

Stafford Civil war park was were soldiers camped between battle. It's more of a scenic sight and Landon kindly pointed out there there was no actual battle here, but it was fun to see. The kids ran through the woods finding arrows to point us in the right direction. It was a good start to our many stops here in the East.

A rifle pit. They were more then happy to react how the rifle men would have taken aim and cover.

Checking out the cannons.

Walking the trench.

Some actual cannons.

We drove down the road a little to the crow nest and natural wildlife preserve.

Aguia Landing. Connecting to the Ocean this is where the underground railroad ended and people would catch a ship up the coast. It more of a picnic area with kayaking and a walking trail now.

The kids had a ball throwing rocks in the ocean. We have literally been coast to coast now!

Settling in!

Just me and this girl trying to fill our days since all three are in school full time now.

I hate that she thinks she is big and can make her own sandwich!

Exploring the forest...also known as the backyard!

My favorite is the can of pam used as snake repellent.

Getting out since we finally had dad on Saturday. His new schedule is a bit of an adjustment so we don't get to see him as much. We make the time we do have with him count!

Got caught in the the storm on the way back from the park.

No used to hill so dad helped Logan up the last little stretch!

Terrorising best buy.

Handsome little man in dads suit coat.

Double program this year for these guys. They practiced once last week and then jumped right in and did great for the program here in the Garrisonville ward! I love that they are pretty social and confident!

Struggling with the time change a little and got some extra naps and cuddles this week!

The Drive.

We set our on the week trek across country to Virginia. My mom was nice enough to take the kids so Jer and I could pack up beds, clean, and basically get things done with out feeling like awful parents!

Selfies were a must for some entertainment on the way!

Naps were a must...I just wish I could have taken one too!

Leah took this picture. Lacey got the bubble tape and ate the whole thing!! Oops!

Goose pouting because he wanted to go to McDonalds not Arby's. We ate at both plenty on the drive!!

One of the gas stations a local won some money on a lottery ticket and gave each of the kids a dollar...it was the highlight of the trip!

Stopped at Liberty Jail as we passed through missouri. It was a bit humbling to see the conditions the prophet was in.

Gateway arch...we were too late for tours and strapped for time so going back was not an option, so a picture out front is what you get!!

Once they were let free of the car they were absolutely CRAZY!!!

Swimming was a must to burn some energy at the end of long days!!

They usually were crashed out and had to be woken up every morning.

We made a short stop at Danny and Emily and was not long enough, but so good to see them and hang with cousins for a bit!

The kids really did awesome. We only had one major melt down from the Foof and it was due to no nap and the fact that she wanted to sit on my lap! All i could do was laugh!

Things that keep them entertained!!
