Mormon Battalion and Viejas!

We spent Saturday in San Diego. The weather was beautiful and it was nice to get out of the heat for a day. We decided to check out the Mormon Battalion Museum. The took us on a interactive tour and at the end we got to pan for gold. The kiddos did it for like a half hour till the next group came through. Then we walked around old town. I loved the little shops along the way, but the kids were done so we packed it up and headed back home.

On our way we stopped at Viejas to shop a little and see the "Rock of Ages" light show they put on. We thought we would be able to play in the fountain, but it was roped off. We enjoyed watching it still.

The rocks around to mall were the hit of the day.

These two just went from rock to rock. It was a great babysitter(Till we got kicked off)

Logan was trying to keep up, he thinks he's one of the bog kids.

The light show was pretty cool. The fountain was set to music over the years. They had images reflecting in the water, fireworks, and fire. It was worth stopping to see.
