Luray Caverns.

Luray Caverns. WE had different expectations for today. Jer came when he was on his 30 day TDY. It was super crowded and you walked very slowly through the cave. We went in the off season. There was probably 30 people in our group and the tour moved very quickly. The tour guide said to keep up because the lights were on timers and would shut off. Our kids had that in their head and wanted to keep up, Jer wanted them to stay at the back walk slowly and admire the beauty in the cave. There was a bit of sulking that went on from some of the kids that they had to say back and not be with the tour guide. Needless to say there was a lot of yelling, threatening, tears, and grumpy butts! 

Only my kids would think to pose like this between the stalactites and stalagmites! 

They call this one pluto's ghost and it is at the center. We passed by on the miles and a half trail through the cavern.

The boys thought the old cars were hilarious. 

The garden Maze. The kids could have been happy just doing this. They even went though 3 times. The first time was to find the 4 goals to reveal the secret message, the second was a race boys vs. girls (girls won) and the third was Landon and Leah timing how fast they would make it through.

Waiting for Landon and Leah can get a little crazy. Lacey was faking dead and then started to pick her nose, so they all started to pick noses! 

It turned out to be a great day even though it started off ROUGH!!! 

Dullas Air and Space Museum.

Dullas Air and Space was a day well spent. Much bigger then the air and space museum on the mall and much more interactive for the kids! We started out by making paper air planes. The kids were able to test them to see how stable they would be. They really could have spent the day here!

We made out way to the observation tower. It was a cloudy day, but you could still see planes take off from the Dullas Airport.

Experimenting with ozobots. You draw a path and use the different colors to first the little robot. Again, the kids were fully entertained. 

They had a little planetarium star show that we stumbled upon. 

A green screen to make my kids into astronauts. 

Made a pit stop in the car for lunch(Saving money by packing instead of buying) 

Spent the rest of the day looking at all the different aircrafts they had throughout the hanger. They also had little booth thought that taught the kids about different things like gravity in space, or how an airplane flies, or what's the planet mars like. Another day well spent and we will definitely be returning!

As always safety first in our household. 

70 Degrees!

Someone forgot to tell Virginia that it was winter. 70 degrees! WE took full advantage and played at the park and had ice cream!!

Jer is simple the best! I adore him and so do the kids! He is always very iterative when he gets home and make the most of his time with all of them. He also plays some pretty hilarious games!. This one was look into the camera. They put their head close to the folded pillow and the he unfolds it quickly into their faces shooting them backwards! You can see from the kids in the background how entertaining it is, I think therapeutic at time for Jer:) 

Nanny, nanny, boo, boo! Is always a favorite. 

Lacey's favorite is to wipe off his kisses! 

And the latest rides in the sleeping bags. He is seriously the best dad ever!!! 

SNOW!!!!

It finally snowed! Lacey has been asking forever when it would snow so she could make a snow angel. We got just enough to make it happen. Virginia has no idea how to handle snow so EVERYTHING shut down! We shovels the neighborhood because the kids were so excited. 

All her snow angels, she just kept going! 

Reading.

My kids love to read. Now that I got them these wonderful reading lights, they could stay up all night doing it! Love/hate relationship! 

Burger King!

Kids convinced us to eat at Burger King. I think dad was in for the crown...

I was taking pictures of all the kids in their crowns(I may have had one on too) and Lacey wanted no one in her picture! Queen Foofie! She kept shoving the kids out and say get out of my picture! It really is her world and we just live in it!
