July round-up.

Kids finished up their North salt lake rec classes.

We made our slime kits that Chenny gave to us.

Lots of pool time with cousins.

It's been hot so we've hit up the splash pad several times.

Loved this invention that Goose thought up at church. A frdaliser(fertilizer) machine(machine) and all the parts are at the top that he needs to build it. Love this kid!

Date night at Dart side for Jenny's 40th birthday!

Just little things I love about my hubby. A simple note to make the day great!

Activity days summer camp.

Grandpa and Nanda Cindy.

Kids loved hanging out with Grandpa and Nanda Cindy while Jer and I were in Idaho. They are already asking when we get to go back. They did all sorts of crafts, played video games, enjoyed the splash pad, Went the the movie theater to see incredibles 2-and got popcorn and treats at the theater, got to pick some sun-sugar tomatoes, and took on the hornets with the slat guns. It's no wonder they didn't want to leave when Jer and I showed up. We sure love the time we get with these two!

Spudman 2018!

We signed up for the superman back in January. We thought we'd have plenty of time to train and were doing well in Virginia to be on track but the move cross county and the home remodel training took a major back seat. So we went with the attitude to have fun and just finish. That's just what we did. It was a beautiful day for a race and Jer and I felt good throughout the course. I did get a flat on mile 22 of the bike, but was proud of myself to fix it and continue on. So, we have another superman in the books and we got to meet the Iron-cowboy!

The Rec center had a giant obstacle course set up. kids spent the whole time racing each other across. Lacey was even brave enough to try it out.

24th

Living away for so long we forget sometimes that the 24th is a holiday. We didn't celebrate much, just some quality family time, slip-n-slide down the slide,  and our own fireworks show.  The kids love being able to use the lighter and light the fireworks themselves. Maybe next year we'll actually make it to the parade and other festivities...Maybe.

Fishing at Silver Lake.

The kids, mostly goose, have been asking all summer to go fishing. So we stopped at Walmart, spent more money then we wanted, and headed to Silver lake for some fishing. We only caught one in the whole time we were there. Luckily there was some cute baby ducks that kept coming around for the kids to feed. The scenery was beautiful and the kids loved every minute of being able to cast their own line. Jer spent the majority of the time untangling line...I guess payback for all those years his dad had to do the same.
